Personal Stories:
Making a Difference
Jenee
Women Helping Girls does help young girls and helps them to progress to become women. It helps us to learn from elder women and mentors.... The mentors made mistakes and we benefit from what they've learned. Also, listening to other young women discussing problems they encountered while attending college encourages me to pursue more education. Jenee

Women Helping Girls has helped me in many ways. I’ve been in the group since I was 12 years old, and since then I have chosen what I want to do for a career. I’ve even found out that I have another talent, which is writing. This program is great and I recommend it for every girl. They also taught me to be a strong woman and taught me my history of strong women.

Features
Congratulations, Seniors! Our vision is for our girls to "enter young adulthood with the social, emotional, and academic skills needed to be successful in a diverse world." The young women who are graduating from high school this year exemplify these goals with personal stories of hard work, persistence, and dreams for the future. We are very proud of them, and we join their families and friends in applauding this milestone.

WHG Achievements 2010-2011
The year saw WHG in transition, with our girls involved in meaningful and fun activities. Here are some of the notable achievements:
- We added new staff and many new volunteers, and we completed a technology upgrade to our offices to better serve our girls, staff, volunteers, and donors.
- We received recognition and grants from several prestigious local organizations and grantors.
- Women Helping Girls would like to thank K2 Communications who redesigned our new logo and did a fabulous job with our identity.
You're in the process of interacting with our new website! Enjoy. We think it's great.
